Sue Shaw was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in June 2015 and underwent, three operations, six rounds of chemotherapy and three weeks of radiotherapy to fight the disease.
Sue decided to raise money for the stars appeal by running 3.5 miles a day, Monday to Friday for three weeks whilst having radiotherapy, to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
“At first I felt it was very personal, but then I decided to make something positive out of this situation and raise more awareness.”
Sue published her first book, ‘My Race For Life’ to inspire others suffering with Cancer to open up and encourage people to talk more freely about Cancer.
“I kept telling everyone I would write a book and over two years later it is here.”

‘My Race For Life‘ books are priced at £14.99 each and due to be available from December 2017. Sue will be donating £1 to the Stars Appeal (at Salisbury District Hospital) and £1 to Cancer Research UK for each book sold.
Sue will be promoting her book on the following dates; Saturday 13 January 12-4pm at, Tesco’s Southampton Road Community Space and Thursday 25 January 11-3 pm Cafe Rouge Salisbury (Including a raffle with all proceeds going to Stars Appeal and Cancer Research UK, for £100 Cafe Rouge Voucher.)
