A special coffee afternoon on Tuesday, August 15, gives local people to access a range of information about staying safe.
Amesbury fire station is open between 2pm and 4pm for residents to call in for a hot drink and cake.
As well as fire safety advice from firefighters, information stands include the Bobby Van Trust, Alzheimer’s Support, Home Start, the Stroke Association and Wiltshire Police.
Firefighter Vicki Brewis, event organiser, said: “We know a lot of local people, especially the elderly, may just fancy a chat as some may go days without speaking to anyone. This is a completely free event; just pop in any time between 2pm and 4pm, have a cuppa and some cake, meet new people and find out about help available to you.”
