Live pheasants stolen

Police have called for witnesses after intruders allegedly stole live pheasants from the Earl of Pembroke’s estate grounds.

The raiders got into the grounds of the Wilton Estate near Salisbury, and sneaked into the area where the pheasants were penned, then captured and made off with the birds.

Yesterday, October 11, Wiltshire Police asked for anybody with information about the raid to contact them on 101.

The estate spokesperson declined to comment about the raid.
