Jewellery stolen in Wilton

A householder returning home from hospital found the house had been burgled and valuable items stolen. Police are now appealing for information.

Between 7pm on August 6 and 7.30pm on August 7, the house in The Hollows, Wilton, was broken into via a back door. Items stolen included a safe containing cash, Rolex red-faced watch, gold engagement ring with red rupee surrounded by diamonds, and a Santander credit card

Sergeant Tracey Holloway said: “Naturally, the victim is understandably very shaken and upset. We’d like to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in The Hollows area during the time.”

Enquiries were continuing, but anyone with information, should get in touch on 101 and quote crime reference number 54180074235, or anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
