Wincanton Racecourse welcome Brit Award winner Jess Glynne for an open air concert on July 1.
Her No.1 charting debut album, ‘I Cry When I Laugh‘, turned double platinum in the UK, making it the highest-selling debut album of the past year. Jess Glynne is also one of only two British female solo artists to have five consecutive UK No.1 singles.
“It’s going to be great fun playing Wincanton Racecourse on July 1. I love outdoor shows and can’t wait to share some summer evenings with my fans; it’s just a shame I won’t get to see any racing while I’m there,” Jess said.
2016 was another massive year for Jess, with a sold-out UK arena tour, nominated for British Breakthrough Act, British Female Solo Artist and British Single for ‘Hold My Hand’ at this year’s prestigious Brit Awards.
Huw Williams, general manager, Wincanton Racecourses, said: “To attract and secure such a major artist is absolutely fantastic and we are very proud to be working with Jess Glynne for 2017. Given the great catalogue of music and her amazing live performances to date, I am sure this will be a perfect show to welcome residents in the area to The Jockey Club Live events.”
The Jockey Club venues welcome more than 2 million people a year for some of the UK’s biggest racing events and leading promoters on the UK live scene.
The events are renowned for combining a fun-filled evening at the races with a spectacular evening concert in an informal and relaxed open-air setting. Having welcomed more than 200,000 fans of live music to their events in 2016, this year should continue the incredible success.
Tickets went on sale at 9am on December 2 via www.thejockeyclublive.co.uk
Tickets start at £35 adult and £20 child (under 18). Please note child tickets are limited.
