After nearly 43 years of caring, the Foreman family are closing Cleveland Lodge, Figheldean.
The company ceases trading on February 5. Cleveland Lodge was founded by Mrs Boulanger (nee Foreman) in 1995, and evolved into a specialist dementia care home. Over the years, it looked after hundreds of elderly people with dementia, given them joy by rekindling their memories through activities and memorabilia. They have also been a stable employer of many staff locally.
Partner James Foreman said “It has been a very difficult decision and this is a very sad day for us. Our priority is the residents, families and staff.
“We are working closely with Wiltshire Council to support a smooth transition to new homes.”
The difficult decision was discussed at Christmas at a family meeting. Sadly, Mrs Boulanger (nee Foreman] died peacefully in Ipswich Hospital on January 5.
