CCTV appeal after wallet stolen in Amesbury

CCTV images show a man police would like to speak to about the theft of a wallet in Amesbury.

The victim dropped his wallet in London Road, Amesbury, on February 12 and reported the loss to his bank a few days later. But a number of transactions at shops in Salisbury and Amesbury took about £90 on the card and the money has been refunded by the victim’s bank.

Officers have CCTV images from two of the businesses and are asking help to identify the man. He is said to be between 30 and 40 years old, wearing a beige and black puffer coat with a hood, a red and white bobble hat, grey tracksuit bottoms, black trainers, and a black backpack.
