Cash stolen from supermarket

Police investigating theft of cash from a supermarket in Gillingham have released CCTV images of the suspect.

Dorset Police received a report at about 1.30pm on Saturday, December 23 from a local woman aged in her 60s, taking £50 in cashback at a self-service checkout at Asda, Station Road but forgot to take it. When she returned a short time later the money had gone.

CCTV footage shows a man taking the money from the checkout before leaving the store. The man is wearing a distinctive red and black jacket with the word ‘Yamaha’ on it.
