Matthew Derrick, aged 32, of Pullman Drive, Bemerton Heath, appeared at Salisbury Crown Court for sentencing today and jailed for 20 months after pleading guilty to the robbery of 74-year-old woman in Salisbury.

During the robbery, on the morning March 8 last year, the victim was robbed in an alleyway alongside the United Reformed Church, in Fisherton Street.

Derrick approached the woman from behind and grabbed her handbag, before dragging her to the ground and running away.
