Detectives want the public’s help to find a man from Shaftesbury who failed to appear at Crown Court.
John Berry, 53, and of Fontmell Magna, pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice and attended Bournemouth Crown Court on December 15, for sentencing. But he left the court before sentencing and has not been seen since.
He is white, around 5ft 11ins tall and of heavy build.
He may have links to Hampshire and Devon.
Detective Constable Jo Blackmore, of Weymouth CID, said: “While we have no information to suggest he presents a direct risk to the public, I would urge anyone who sees Berry not to approach him but to immediately contact Dorset Police on 999.”
Anyone with other information should call 101, quoting 55170194203 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
