A photo of junior athletes from the City of Salisbury Athletics & Running Club (CoSARC) in a Quad Kids Fun Day in September 2017, won
Wilton photographer Shane Wilkinson (51), two awards at the prestigious annual Event Photography Awards 2018 (EPA).
Shane won the Sporting Events Category with the photograph, and he was runner-up with the same photo in the Overall Category, when competing against 11 other category winners.
At the awards presentation, at the British Museum, London, Shane said: “Out of so many quality entries, I was happy just to have been nominated in this category. Actually winning the category was a pleasant surprise, and then to get the overall runner-up placing was as equally surprising’.
The EPA, now in the fifth year, had 12 event categories for amateurs and professionals. With the competition, the EPA helps to support two charities, PhotoVoice and Meeting Needs.
