The 41st Wilton Horse Trials attracted 503 equestrians from all over the UK, competing in its dressage, show jumping and cross-country events this year.
Rain did not stop a weekend of competitions, including a new cross-country route, and they culminated with prizes for 16 winners.
Organiser Anthony Ffooks said: “The new fences and new route pretty much rode very well. I’ve had nice emails from people saying how much they enjoyed the event and the cross-country courses.
“This is my 19th year of organising it. Weather-wise it was probably the most stressful, but all the big lorries got out without help.
“I think overall we are happy that, despite the weather, we had a successful event – and roll on next year.”
