Re-leaf for green fingered gardeners

Re-leaf for green fingered gardeners
By Fanny Charles

Staff at Orchard Park Garden Centre, Gillingham, started a 24 hour Plantathon at lunchtime on Thursday March 16 – planting out baskets, containers and planters with foliage plants and spring flowers.

The marathon planting session is raising funds for the Greenfingers charity which provides wonderful gardens for children’s hospices.

Pictured at the start of the Plantathon are, from left, Yvonne Roberts, Orchard Park managing director Richard Cumming, Nathan Collins, and garden centre manager Gavin Cooper.

After all those hours of gardening, when they finish at noon on Garden Re-Leaf Day, they will definitely need some rest and re-leaf!

Go along and support the gardeners and take part in the raffle with some great prizes, to support a charity that helps to make life a little more colourful for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
