City hit by string of burglaries

Salisbury has been hit by a string of burglaries this week.

On May 17, a theft in Harnham Road resulted 19 laurel plants being stolen from a front garden.

The next day, during a burglary overnight  at Cactus Jack, Water Lane, a fire door was forced and cash stolen.

Also, between 12.15 and 1pm in Cross Keys Shopping a purse was stolen and contents from a handbag removed.

Salisbury Community Policing Team wants witnesses to come forward about the series of burglaries in Fisherton Street.

Independent shops and businesses have been hit overnight, and in each, the till was targeted with varying amounts of cash stolen.

Significant damage was caused as the offenders broke into each location.

On May 17, at about 11.30pm in South Newton, an offender stole two bikes from a lawn, a silver and black Carrera Kraken, and a black and purple BMX, which were loaded onto vehicle. CCTV enquiries are ongoing.
